About Me

Hi!

I’m so glad you’re here. I’m Shea – like the butter. I’m a relatable, working mom, married to my wonderful (age gap!) husband who’s a teacher and coach at our local high school. Together, we have a beautifully blended family: my bonus daughter who just graduated from college, our spirited 9 year old (going on 16) daughter and our surprise little 3 year old boy who keeps us on our toes every single day.

Life hasn’t exactly been an easy journey. I used to be a dental hygienist, but after developing hand and nerve issues, I had to step away from a career I loved, but more importantly the steady income that came with it. These days, I work three jobs to help keep our family afloat: running the front desk at a dental office, working as a travel agent (Disney is my happy place), and serving as an admin for a local Christian organization. My husband is a dedicated teacher and wrestling coach, and together we’re doing our best to juggle work, parenting, and real life.

Like many families, we’ve had our share of struggles whether it be infertility, to my battle with PCOS & living with anxiety and ulcerative colitis, dealing with medical issues and behavioral challenges with our children, all while carrying debt and trying to make the budget stretch. Weight loss has been an uphill battle, and travel (our favorite thing to do) has to be planned with care and creativity. But through it all, I’m learning that small, intentional steps can lead to big changes.

This blog is my place to share that journey – the messy and the mended parts. Here you’ll find:

  • Family life: real, unfiltered stories and tips from a busy blended family.
  • Travel: budget-friendly adventures, Disney planning, and making memories without breaking the bank.
  • Budgeting & Debt Recovery: practical ways we’re working toward financial freedom.
  • Health: navigating chronic illness, PCOS, and finding what works.
  • Non-Toxic Living: simple swaps that don’t cost a fortune.
  • Organization & Decluttering: creating a home that feels peaceful and functional even on a budget.

If you’re here for perfection, you won’t find it. But if you want honest conversation, practical tips, and a reminder that you’re not alone in this, pull up a chair. We can figure this out together.

Welcome to my world, where life is busy, messy, beautiful, and full of possibility.

I hope you’ll join our journey!

Shea
